What's a token and how many do I really get?

Tokens are how Anthropic charges for Claude — every prompt and response is metered. Better gets 500,000 per month, Best gets 1,000,000. That's a lot: a bullet rewrite or summary draft is ~1–2k tokens, a JD translation is ~3–6k, an interview prep run is ~5–10k, an ATS scan is ~5k, an auto-tailor is ~10–15k, a full CV re-import is ~50k. So Better covers hundreds of edits + a steady drip of JD-specific runs; Best doubles the budget for heavy job-hunt months. Your usage resets every 30 days; see exactly where you stand in Settings → Billing.

What happens if I run out of tokens?

AI features pause until your next reset (a small "You've used your monthly tokens" message shows inline). Your CV stays editable, your URL stays live, your PDF still exports — only the AI parts wait. Upgrade to Best from your settings any time to immediately double your budget.

How does the ATS scanner work?

Paste a job description into the ATS Scan tab in your editor. Claude compares it to your CV, returns a 0–100 match score, lists the keywords you've already got vs the ones you're missing, and proposes specific fixes — add these skills, rewrite the summary like this, add this bullet to this role. Each fix has an Apply button that patches your CV in one click.

What does auto-tailor do that the ATS scanner doesn't?

ATS Scan tells you what to fix in your current CV. Auto-tailor rewrites the whole CV at once — headline, summary, every experience entry's bullets — into a brand-new CV version named after the role and company. You keep the original; the tailored version sits next to it in your CV switcher so you can switch back any time. Great for the 30 minutes before you submit.

Can I translate my CV into French, Spanish, Yoruba, or Igbo?

Yes. On any Better+ plan, open the More tab in your editor and generate a translation overlay for the target language. Visitors to your public page get an EN / FR / … pill switcher in the action bar; the PDF download URL accepts a ?lang=fr query string so a recruiter who reads the page in French downloads a French PDF. Proper nouns, dates, and skill keywords stay in source.

How does the skill gap analysis work?

Every ATS scan contributes an anonymised set of skills (no JD text, no user ID, no company name) to a market corpus. The Skills tab in your editor shows the top skills for your role family alongside what you're already listing — anything missing gets a one-click Add button. The corpus is fully anonymous; we could publish it tomorrow without leaking anything.

Can I switch plans any time?

Yes. Upgrade or downgrade from your dashboard. We prorate to the day — no awkward billing cycles.

What happens to my CV if I downgrade from Best?

Your CV stays exactly as it is. If it's using a community template, we snapshot the layout onto your account so the public page keeps rendering it. You just lose the ATS scanner, auto-tailor, cover letters, and the ability to switch to other community templates.

Do you use my CV to train AI?

No. We don't train models on your data, and we don't sell it to anyone. Anthropic processes each request and discards it per their API terms.

Can I cancel any time?

Yep. One click in the dashboard. You keep access until the end of the billing period; your CV stays online forever even if you cancel.

Is there a free trial of Better or Best?
